Red Dot Design Museum Singapore sits in a full glass facade building located along the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade. Designed by Cox Architects (Australia) & Architects 61 (Singapore), the building takes on a strong geometrical form and comprises of playful composition of structural steel elements and large overhanging roofs. A popular attraction at the Marina Bay in Singapore, this is the only museum in Singapore that closes late at 11 p.m. on weekends (Fri to Sun). With two levels of exhibition spaces in the museum, the design exhibits are curated from the results of the international Red Dot Design Award. These award winning works are the result of careful selection by an independent panel of design experts which form the jury. The search for good design spans over 60 countries and has involved more than 80 Red Dot jurors. Expect short term collaborations with designers at exhibition galleries located on the first level of the museum.

The museum has been hosting MAAD, Market of Artists And Designers since 2006. This is a grassroots initiative to promote local designers and artists by presenting a platform to showcase and sell their original works to the public. Today, MAAD continues to be the most influential creative marketplace and attracts thousands of patrons at each installation.
