The full glass facade building is located along the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade. Designed by the Cox Group (Australia) & Architects 61 (Singapore), the building takes on a strong geometrical form and comprises of playful composition of structural steel elements and large overhanging roofs that reflects the dynamism of Marina Bay.

With two levels of exhibition spaces in the museum, the design exhibits are curated from the results of the international Red Dot Design Award. These award winning works are the result of careful selection by an independent panel of design experts which form the jury.
The search for good design spans over 60 countries and has involved more than 80 Red Dot jurors. Expect short term collaborations with designers at exhibition galleries located on the first level of the museum.
