Red Dot Design Museum Singapore sits in a full glass facade building located along the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade. The full glass building used to be Marina Bay City Gallery which showcases city planners' blueprints for the district.
Designed by Cox Architects (Australia) & Architects 61 (Singapore), the building takes on a strong geometrical form and comprises of playful composition of structural steel elements and large overhanging roofs that reflects the dynamism of Marina Bay.
In 2017 when Red Dot Design Museum took over the building, it was refurbished by MAKK Architects. A mezzanine was added, creating two levels of exhibition spaces to the museum.
