This MAAD edition will be held within the building and among the museum's permanent design concept exhibition. A new category has been created for creatives that's accompanied with lower fees, allowing vendors the freedom to present their works anywhere they wish at the museum. Table spaces are available for booking, but capacity is limited and by request only.
Participate in MAAD, the Market of Artists And Designers to present and sell your original works! MAAD is not your usual flea, but a creative marketplace of artists, designers, crafters, artisans, creators and brand owners, focusing on original works.
Only original works are allowed. No counterfeit products are to be presented. Works on showcase don't have to be 100% produced or hand made by you, but there must be input or ownership in it. i.e. designed, drawn, prototyped or conceptualised by you.
Unique, quirky, designer, original or handmade creations: ranging from fashion, plush toys, art, illustrations, craft & accessories, literature, photography, industrial design, creative services, gifts, furniture and up-cycled creations. Creative services like photography, design, architecture or any other creative projects and services. (No F&B participants)
Space within the museum is severely limited, all MAADsters participating in this edition are expected to operate in compact spaces and in the cleanest way possible.
MAADsters in the Mobile category have to restock their display cases at a designated holding area secured for vendors' belongings.
MAAD is presented as a design and art platform, not a flea market for second hand goods. Specially customised body-strap-on display cases enable a new category of MAADsters to bring original works to visitors instead.
Table spaces within the museum are on first come first serve basis for this category of creative MAADsters.
Seatings will be placed on both level 1 & 2 of the museum and are reserved for MAADsters on Mobile only. You can rest at any of these seatings, and you are free to engage visitors anywhere in the museum.
