Public Art: Momentum

Finlayson Green, Singapore

This 18.35 metres steel sculpture by David Gerstein is Singapore’s tallest public sculpture. The spiraling layers of hand painted metal figurines is to depict spontaneity, vibrancy and dynamism of the Central Business District. The colorful sculpture also adds a splash of color to the surrounding skyscrapers.

Commissioned by the developers of One Raffles Quay and Marina Bay Financial Centre, Momentum also represents an upward cycle of progress for both Singapore and its people.
